Rusland Horizons

Rusland Horizons is one of the first community-led Landscape Partnership Schemes to be funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.

Between 2016 – 2019 we plan to carry out a range of projects that will involve the local community in recording, restoring, managing and celebrating the heritage, wildlife and wooded landscape of this wonderful part of South Lakeland.

The great news is that we have been successful with our Heritage Lottery Bid and are now embarking on delivering on our fifteen projects.

Explore this website to find out more about the scheme, its component projects, the geographical area and the people who are doing the work.

We hope you like what we are doing and will lend your support to our efforts.

Watch our film.

This film tells you about the aspirations for the proposed scheme. Filmed in October & November 2014 on location in and around the Rusland valley, South Cumbria.
